We have hosted a
wide and varied selection of groups, all with their own special accommodation
requirements, and we offer advice on all styles of arrangements including
coach itineraries, touring routes, liaising with sporting venues, organizing
coaches for transfers and catering for up to 300 people. We also cater
for disabled visitors such as wheelchair athletes, those recommended
by Camp Quality, Down Syndrome Association and Cooinda, and to make
the visit special we are sometimes helped by our local Rotary and Lions
Clubs. You can choose from a variety of venues available for meeting
and catering such as Grand Lake View Room, Sails on the Lake Room and
the Crossing Place Conference Centre, and there is also a communal area
at our BBQ Pit.
The efforts made
by the resort team saw us recognised in 2005 at the Business Excellence
Awards on the Border, for Excellence in Business & Community Partnerships.
We look forward to continuing this service to
the community in the future.
We have hosted
many family reunions, as well as teams for pre competition training
for the Sydney Olympics (over 260 athletes - the largest of any region
in Australia after the Gold Coast), the Melbourne Deaflympics, pre season
AFL training, National Schools Basketball Championship, Formula One
Power Boats Australian Championships, Great Outdoors Shows, Fishing
Competitions and car rallies from the Hot Rodders to the Rolls Royce
Club.

Lake View Room
Grand
Lake View Room is our largest venue, located on the first floor of the
hotel, with theatre-style or banquet seating for 250 people and the
most spectacular view overlooking Lake Hume and beyond. Featuring two
levels, the room can be easily utilised for break out facilities and
is an ideal situation for booths when planning a tradeshow or product
launch. For those requiring a venue larger than this, we can arrange
a marquee overlooking Lake Hume with enough space for both internal
and external displays.
Sails
on the Lake Room
Sails
on the Lake Room is one of our most popular venues for meetings and
conferences. Featuring floor space for theatre-style seating for 150
people, or banquet-style for up to 140 guests, this venue also offers
access to an outdoor decking area. Situated next to the WaterMark Restaurant,
Sails on the Lake is flexible in its layout and can be easily transformed
into restaurant-style for gala dinners. Once again you have a beautiful
view over Lake Hume with natural light complementing the colours and
ambience of the room.

WaterMark
Board Room is our smallest venue and is an ideal location for a small
group of event organisers looking for a quiet place to touch base. Situated
next to reception, the room is easily accessible and can be set up on
request with equipment that suits your requirements.
Crossing
Place Conference Centre
Crossing
Place Conference Centre is our most private venue at Lake Hume Resort.
With theatre-style seating for 240 people this venue is situated on
the western border of the Resort and is fantastic for those who need
no distractions to their itinerary. The centre has recently been refurbished
and offers a pillarless conference room and surrounding internal foyer
which can be used for a breakout session. The conference centre is adjacent
to the Crossing Place Motel and the BBQ Pit and is a very sought-after
venue for informal meetings.

Catering
Our executive chef has prepared a full range of catering packages to
suit all tastes, budgets and styles. Options can be provided for breakfasts,
morning and afternoon teas and lunches and our dinner choices are extensive
with a selection of set menus, hot and cold buffets and gourmet BBQs.
There
are many locations to enjoy your dining experience including, formal,
casual, poolside and, for a special treat, on the foreshore of Lake
Hume.
